Jesus . . . the Source of Hope, Peace, Joy and LoveWritten by firstname.lastname@example.org on Dec 12, 2017 in Uncategorized - No Comments
19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross ― Colossians 1:19-20
The Old Testament is a story of frustrated hope, peace, joy and love. It begins by telling us that humans were created in the image of God. But it was not long before we humans sinned, and were kicked out of paradise. But along with the word of judgment also came a word of promise—God said that one of Eve’s descendants would crush the enemy.
Throughout this month as we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we will be identifying and talking about the concepts of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love that were lost at the Fall and restored by Jesus as we experience Him personally. I hope you will join us each Sunday morning. . . and be sure to invite a friend to come with you.
