Guest Speaker

September Schaffer!

September Schaffer is a native upstate New Yorker and works as an LTA with middle-school-aged children while attending college full-time to become a high school history teacher. September’s first career in life was as a Histotechnologist in the laboratory. With a theology degree from Liberty University, she currently serves as lay pulpit supply for the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield, New York. September is active in American Baptist Women’s Ministries of New York State where she serves as their White Cross Coordinator and general board member. September loves to travel and is aspiring to be a member of the 50-50-50 club (traveling to all 50 states and 50 countries by the time she’s 50 years old). She has visited 43 states and 18 countries so far! Being a part of the young adult women’s ministries advisory team is important to September because she feels intergenerational work is necessary for the survival of AB Women’s Ministries in the future. As a young woman in ministry she wants to keep the rich history and traditions of AB Women’s Ministries alive and help transition programming to meet the ever-changing needs of women.
