Missions Scouting Trip
Why is First Baptist sending Mike and Jon to Spain?
As leaders of our church’s Mission Committee, they are being sent to visit, to learn, and to return to teach us about the missionary work taking place near Bilbao, Spain. Mike and Jon will spend a week learning about the ministry of Mauricio and Karina Aldana, observing a Christian hostel in action, meeting the people of the Basque community. One of their goals of their trip is see if our church could be a good long term partner for the Aldana’s.

This scouting trip to Spain is a new and exciting opportunity to step out in faith and participate in something I have not yet done. I look forward to walking side-by-side with missionaries in the field and to see the various aspects of their everyday work.

To be observant each day with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and
To be flexible in all aspects of this trip
Mike’s Prayer Requests
As we travel to Spain, I am looking forward to the opportunity to learn more about the Aldana family and their call to reach the pilgrims on the “Camino de Santiago”.
I am looking forward to coming back and sharing what we find with the you, the church, and the possibilities that exist for us to send others over for mission trips in the future.
I would appreciate your prayers for:
Safe travels & preparations in the days leading up to our departure,
For clarity as we look for opportunities to expand and deepen our ties with missionaries, and
For my wife and children while I am away
How much is our church looking to raise in support of this trip?
We would like to raise a total of $480 or $240 each for Mike & Jon. We will be collecting this special offering from 1/21/24 until their departure on 2/11/24.

Christmas Caroling
Join us as we spread holiday cheers with a senior citizen community at the Good Shephard Village in Endwell. We will provide a brief performance to the residences in their community room and we will then walk through the halls singing to the residents.
We welcome ALL members of our church to participate in this fun multi-generational event.

You are invited to join our special service for the baptism of Abby O’Neill, Ainsley MacDuff & Melissa Palmatier on Sunday, November 19 at 10:45 am. Refreshments and celebrations to follow.
Women's Group (Mornings)
Growing in Grace will start a new study "UNAFRAID: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times" by Adam Hamilton.
The first meeting will be 9/6 with meetings continuing every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10 am in the church lounge.

9:30am Light breakfast refreshments & kick off new Sunday calendar. Learn about children’s Sunday School & adult Sunday School.
